Keynote Speaker: Paddy McGurgan

Paddy is one of the North’s leading pro makeup artists and the owner of the Make Up Pro Store which has three studio shops in Derry, Newry and Belfast. Prior to launching his own successful company, Paddy worked for some of the most prestigious cosmetics brands globally — household names such as MAC, Nars and Laura Mercier.

On the evening Paddy is going to look at inner beauty and will be doing an hour demo.

Lee Millen: IMPRINT Training & Facilitation

Having worked in the community sector for 20 years, IMPRINT evolved out of those years of experience locally and globally. Specialising in delivering training in the areas of equality, fairness and gender issues, Lee delights in taking participants on a growth journey of curiosity, courage and confidence to better themselves and their world around them. Married and a mum to 3 girls, Lee loves her home, her work and her world!

We’ll explore what Imposter Syndrome is, ways to recognise it in ourselves and handy tips to overcoming those nagging thoughts so that you can stop playing small and start bringing your wholeselves everywhere you go!

Dr Karise Hutchinson: Ulster University

Karise is a Professor of leadership at Ulster University and Provost of the Coleraine campus. For almost 20 years she has worked alongside businesses both large and small, committed to exploring the why and how of organisational growth. Her research has been published across academic and industry spheres with over 15 journal publications, 40 international conference papers as well as many television and radio interviews. As a Chartered Manager and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and Affiliate of the Authentic Leadership Institute in Harvard USA, Karise is passionate about changing the way we think about leading inside and outside the classroom. In 2017 she published new research underpinning the importance of storytelling in leading personal and professional growth in her new book Leadership and Small Business: The Power of Stories. The combination of her significant academic and industry experience means she not only sits on various boards including Causeway Coast Vineyard and the Causeway Enterprise Agency, but is an invited speaker at seminars, events and ceremonies across Northern Ireland, the UK and internationally.

Karise will talk about the ‘bread and butter’ of leadership. In a world which loves to keep us too busy, she will give some practical tools on how to be an effective and healthy leader in 2020
