Enterprise Causeway’s Business Advisor, Adam Wallace, was recently honoured with the ‘Graduate of the Year’ accolade at the new Causeway Coast and Glens People Awards.

Organised by Causeway Chamber, in partnership with The Electric Storage Company, the Causeway Coast and Glens People Awards were designed to celebrate and recognise the talent and dedication within local businesses and organisations.

The 14 award categories, sponsored by several local companies, help share good news stories and promote the quality roles and career paths available in the Causeway Coast and Glens area.

Sponsored by Armstrong Medical, the ‘Graduate of the Year’ category was dedicated to recognising the exemplary organisations and individuals displaying flexibility and resilience in their continual delivery of effective graduate placements.

Adam joined Enterprise Causeway in January 2021, on a 12-week placement as part of his Foundation Degree in Business with Digital Technology at the Northern Regional College.

During this period, Adam was charged with looking after e-commerce and social media at The Designerie, Bushmills. Having impressed in this role, when the organisation launched a recruitment campaign in May 2021 for a Business Advisor to join the team, Adam was well placed to succeed in securing the role.

Throughout his final year of study, Adam worked 3 days per week as a business advisor, whilst completing his Degree in Business with Accounting from Ulster University in 2022.

Congratulating Adam on his achievement, Jayne Taggart, Chief Executive of Enterprise Causeway, said: “We are extremely proud and delighted of this acknowledgement for Adam’s work. He has achieved an unbelievable amount in such a short space of time, both for his clients, and for fledgling entrepreneurs across the Causeway area.

“Not only has he been a fantastic mentor to hundreds of business start-ups, but he’s been instrumental in Enterprise Causeway’s growing success; having organised and delivered successful training networking events, provided invaluable e-commerce, social media and digital support, and helped raise awareness of our business support programmes at numerous events, including job fairs and educational conferences.

“These awards are a fantastic initiative to commend every person, business and organisation across the Causeway area making a real and sustained difference to the local economy and is a really lovely way to say thanks for their commitment and loyalty after an incredibly challenging few years.”
