Team Enterprise Causeway were delighted to attend a recent reception in the Mayor’s Parlour to honour local recipients of this year’s Social Enterprise NI Awards.
Joining Enterprise Causeway, and also being honoured for their awards were social enterprises; Naturally North Coast and Glens (Consumer Facing), Compass Advocacy Network (Health and Well-being) and The Hummingbird Project (Highly Commended, Outstanding Staff Team).
The Mayor, Councillor Ivor Wallace, said: “I was very pleased to learn about the success of our fantastic social enterprises who play such an important role in our communities and local economy.
“The awards presented on the night to our local winners were very much deserved, with five different organisations sharing six awards between them across a wide variety of categories.
“It is very encouraging to see our Borough leading the way in the sector, which has demonstrated true resilience in recent years while continuing to make a hugely important impact in our area.
“We are very proud to be home to these innovative enterprises, and I was pleased to have this opportunity recognise their success.”
Reflecting on the invitation and the reception, Jayne Taggart, CEO of Enterprise Causeway said: “It’s been an incredible year for us, winning ‘Best Small Social Enterprise’, ‘Leader of the Year’ and Highly Commended, ‘Best Use of Digital Marketing’ at the Social Enterprise Northern Ireland awards, and Graduate of the Year at the new, Causeway Coast and Glens People awards.
