Angie’s entrepreneurial journey with Causeway Enterprise Agency began in 2011, when she returned from working overseas for 20 years; she left these shores in 1992 to pursue a career in Haute Couture, and she realised her dream working for rich and famous families in Dubai making glamorous occasion dresses for 10 years, along the way gaining invaluable experience in design, sewing, alterations and dressmaking.
Self-employment is Child’s Play for Danielle
Lots of women will relate to the story of Danielle Tagg, mum of 2; who pressed pause on her career to have a family only to discover that returning to work would prove almost impossible. Danielle, an IT Technician, fluent in both French and Arabic had enjoyed a career in a French speaking call centre in Belfast when she moved from Morocco to Coleraine prior to the birth of her 2 children. However following maternity leave she found the commute, long hours, lack of childcare and absence of family support meant that she could no longer work in Belfast and needed to find something closer to home.
Its feet first into self employment for Beverly
Coleraine woman, Beverley Ward is one of many candidates from Coleraine who are reaping the benefits of a programme to help long-term unemployed people to get back into work and get a feel for business. Following a late diabetes diagnosis at age 11 Beverley has continually struggled with illness, but has taken the first steps back into employment as a self-employed reflexologist, after completing the Exploring Enterprise² Programme (EE²P) through Causeway Enterprise Agency.
