About Enterprise Causeway

Over our 40 year history, we are proud to have served the local community and are dedicated improve the social and economic wellbeing of our region.

Enterprise Causeway began life in a converted embryonic farm in Coleraine in 1984. Established as a charitable, not for profit, social enterprise, we were founded with the mission to support entrepreneurship across the Causeway Coast & Glens Borough area.

While we have since moved on from the converted barn, our core mission has remained steadfast: building sustainable business, encouraging enterprising people and creating innovative workspaces and communities.

In 2019, we moved to our current location in Kilsandel House, Coleraine, and in 2014 we launched the retail and craft social enterprise The Designerie, in Bushmills, followed by the Courthouse in Bushmills in October 2024: bringing a listed derelict building back to life, transforming it into a creative shared space for generations to enjoy.

Our enterprise eco-system operates across 6 sites and accommodates more than 100 tenants, who collectively contribute nearly £50 million to the local economy and employ over 350 staff.

We serve emerging entrepreneurs and startups with intensive and tailored business support through a suite of mentoring & training programmes, tailored workshops and engaging networking events; all while designing and delivering vital community programmes, and connecting and collaborating with partners, small enterprises and local community groups, including cross-border activities. We are particularly passionate about promoting female entrepreneurship, youth development and the creative sector.

Over our 40 year history, we are proud to have served the Causeway Coast & Glens community and are dedicated to fostering the innovation and collaboration necessary to improve the social and economic wellbeing of our region.
