Founded in 2023 by Tori Sheppard, Map & Compass Neuro-Developmental Therapy was created to help children and families navigate neurodevelopmental challenges with confidence and hope.
Drawing on neuroscience, research, and a highly personalised approach, Tori looks beyond symptoms to explore the underlying factors that may contribute to difficulties such as sensory processing challenges, learning differences, and developmental delays. Her work focuses on understanding each individual’s unique needs and helping families build strong foundations for future development.
The inspiration behind the business came from Tori’s own experiences as a parent. After navigating support systems for her children and feeling there were important pieces missing, she decided to retrain and qualify as a Neurodevelopmental Therapist. Her goal was simple: to provide the kind of support she had once searched for herself.
Today, Map & Compass offers specialist therapies including Reflex Integration (INPP), Auditory Integration (JohansenIAS), and Bilateral Integration (RGM). Through these approaches, families are supported with practical tools and strategies that promote development, wellbeing, and confidence.
Enterprise Causeway has supported Tori throughout her business journey, from participation in Explore Enterprise and Go Succeed programmes to networking opportunities and mentorship. With a growing client base and a strong reputation for compassionate, evidence-informed support, Map & Compass is helping families find a clearer path forward.
