Since 1995, Europa Foods has built a reputation for quality, reliability, and exceptional customer service. Founded by lifelong friends Brian Kelly and William Bamford, the company has grown from humble beginnings into one of Northern Ireland’s leading suppliers of fresh and frozen food products.
Operating from the Kilrea Business Centre, Europa Foods now supplies more than 500 retailers, wholesalers, catering businesses, and food service outlets across Northern Ireland. The company produces over 30 tonnes of sliced bacon each week and offers an extensive range of fresh and frozen products, including bacon, sausages, chicken, pork, beef, and premium products such as Clonakilty Black and White Puddings.
The business began with a single unit, a ten-year-old van, and no employees. Through hard work, determination, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Europa Foods has grown into a multi-million-pound enterprise with an annual turnover exceeding £8.5 million.
Today, the company remains firmly rooted in family values. Leadership has successfully transitioned to the next generation, with Joanne Kirgan, Michael Bamford, and Gavin Glendinning helping to guide the business alongside a dedicated team of 20 employees. Many team members have been with the company for more than two decades, reflecting the strong culture and loyalty that exists within the organisation.
